Jonathan helps clients build, grow, and manage businesses and investments across a wide range of industries. He represents operating companies, individual, institutional and strategic investors, and financial and strategic acquirers, both as transactional counsel and as outside general counsel. Prior to CAS, Jonathan practiced as a corporate transactional partner at McDermott Will & Emery in Boston, Massachusetts, and as corporate counsel at Moody Advisors and Downs Rachlin Martin in Burlington, Vermont.
In addition to his law firm experience, Jonathan served as in-house counsel to WIN Waste Innovations (f/k/a Wheelabrator Technologies) in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and to the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Jonathan lives in Vermont's Mad River Valley, where he serves on the Waitsfield Development Review Board and, together with his wife, is restoring a historic farm for use as a performing arts and community space.
